The Mary Neal “Mamie” Hurt Baskervill and Margret Malone Baskervill Endowed Mathematics Fellowship recognizes superior academic performance among graduate students in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.

Recipients must be enrolled as graduate students, meet departmental standards for graduate teaching assistants and demonstrate academic excellence.

The Ralph B. Bennett Memorial Endowed Fund for Excellence supports outstanding undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in mathematics or statistics.

Recipients must have a minimum 3.5 GPA. Selection is determined by the department chair.

The James Richard Calder Endowed Graduate Award supports graduate students who show strong promise as mathematicians in analysis or a closely related area.

Preference is given to incoming PhD students in mathematics. The award honors Dr. James Richard Calder, a longtime Auburn mathematics faculty member and mentor to graduate students.

The Dr. Kevin Doheny Annual Graduate Fellowship provides support for an Auburn graduate or incoming graduate student seeking a mathematics degree in COSAM.

Eligible students must be enrolled in the Auburn University Graduate School, have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need as verified by the Office of Financial Aid. Financial need may be waived if no eligible student is identified.

The Dr. Ben Fitzpatrick Jr. Graduate Fellowship in Topology recognizes incoming or current graduate students with an interest and demonstrated achievement in topology.

Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Financial need may be considered when candidates have similar qualifications.

The Emilie Virginia Haynsworth Memorial Endowment for Excellence in Mathematics recognizes graduate students with outstanding research achievement.

This award is typically presented to senior doctoral students.

The Don and Sandy Logan Endowment for Fellowship in Mathematics and Statistics recognizes academic performance among new and continuing graduate students in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.

Eligible students must be admitted to the Auburn University Graduate School and accepted into a graduate program in the department.

The Professor Norman C. Perry / Saeed Maghsoodloo Fellowship supports doctoral students pursuing a concentration in statistics.

Eligible students must be admitted to the Auburn University Graduate School, accepted into a COSAM graduate program and demonstrate good academic standing.

The Frank Sturm Graduate Student Service Award recognizes a graduate student who has made meaningful service contributions to the department.

Service may include involvement in departmental organizations, COSAM outreach programs, seminars, peer mentoring or informal leadership within the graduate student community. This award is peer nominated and awarded by graduate students in memory of Dr. Frank Sturm.

The Daniel Zalik Fellowship supports graduate students who demonstrate academic excellence.

Eligible students must be admitted to the Auburn University Graduate School, accepted into a COSAM graduate program and meet standards of academic excellence as determined by the selection committee.
