The Department of Mathematics and Statistics hosts seminars and colloquia throughout the academic year featuring faculty, graduate students and visiting scholars. These events highlight current research across pure mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics and provide opportunities for students and faculty to engage with new ideas in the mathematical sciences.

Seminar Series
The department hosts several seminar series reflecting the breadth of research in mathematics and statistics. These include the Mathematics Colloquium, as well as seminars in analysis and stochastic analysis, algebra and representation theory, applied mathematics, differential equations and dynamical systems, discrete mathematics, geometry and topology and statistics.
Together, these events foster collaboration, introduce students to active research areas and connect Auburn scholars with the broader mathematical community.
