Student Ambassadors

AEIO Student Ambassadors are peer leaders who support the office’s mission by promoting access, opportunity and community across COSAM. Established in 2016, the program brings together students who are committed to learning, leadership and creating a more inclusive campus environment.

Ambassadors actively engage in weekly meetings, trainings and campus events that build their knowledge and skills while preparing them to serve as representatives of AEIO. They play a key role in connecting students to resources, facilitating conversations and leading initiatives that promote awareness and engagement across the Auburn community.

Through outreach, peer-to-peer engagement and event programming — including workshops, discussions and community-building activities — Ambassadors help foster a culture where students from all backgrounds feel supported and empowered to succeed.

Mission
AEIO Student Ambassadors serve as liaisons between the office and the broader Auburn community, working to increase awareness of AEIO programs and resources, encourage interest in STEM fields among K–12 students and promote an inclusive environment within COSAM. Through collaboration and outreach, they support the success of current and future students.
Vision
AEIO Student Ambassadors believe that innovation is strengthened by diverse perspectives and experiences. They are committed to fostering a community where differences are recognized, valued and celebrated, and where all students have opportunities to grow, contribute and thrive. Through ongoing engagement and programming, Ambassadors work to promote awareness, support equity and create meaningful experiences that enrich the COSAM community.

Multicultural Association of Pre-Health Students (MAPS)

The Multicultural Association of Pre-Health Students, or MAPS, is Auburn University’s chapter of the pre-health section of the Student National Medical Association. MAPS supports students pursuing careers in medicine and other health professions through mentorship, professional development, service, workshops and volunteer opportunities.

The organization provides a supportive community for students to explore healthcare careers, prepare for professional school and engage in meaningful conversations about access, equity and real-world health challenges.
