Office of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs
The COSAM Academic Awards recognize outstanding undergraduate students, graduate students and faculty for achievement, teaching, mentoring and service across the College of Sciences and Mathematics.
Each year, the Office of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs oversees the nomination and selection processes for a number of academic and teaching awards. Nominations and self-nominations are accepted during November through the COSAM Academic Awards nominations page. Students are encouraged to identify nominators and support letter writers before submitting a nomination so departments have time to process letter requests before January selection deadlines.

The award is presented to one graduating student in each Auburn University college for a given academic year. The graduate must have a high grade-point average and possess outstanding qualities of leadership, citizenship, character and promise of professional ability. Candidates are recommended by departments from Dean’s Medalist nominations.
