Zezhong Zhang, PhD
Short Bio
Dr. Zezhong Zhang is an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from Florida State University (2023), as well as master's degrees in Financial Mathematics from Florida State University (2020) and in Quantitative Finance and Risk Analytics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (2018). He earned his bachelor's degree in Financial Engineering from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (2016). Prior to joining Auburn University in 2025, Dr. Zhang was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where he worked in computational mathematics and scientific machine learning.
