    I earned my undergraduate and master’s degrees in Computational Mathematics from Jilin University and my PhD in Mathematics from Virginia Tech in 1996 under the supervision of Professor Max Gunzburger. My research interests include numerical methods for partial differential equations, stochastic differential equations and integral equations. Currently, my work focuses on scientific machine learning and its applications.
