Short Bio

Xiaolong Li is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University. His research focuses on differential geometry and geometric analysis, with particular emphasis on the use of partial differential equations to study the geometric and topological properties of manifolds. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of California, San Diego in 2017 under the supervision of Lei Ni and Ben Chow. He subsequently served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of California, Irvine from 2017 to 2020, mentored by Richard Schoen, and as a Britton Postdoctoral Fellow at McMaster University from 2020 to 2021. Prior to joining Auburn, he held a tenure-track Assistant Professor position at Wichita State University from 2021 to 2025.
