    Sara Bauer is a master's student in the Department of Geosciences at Auburn University. Her research interests include natural disasters, climate change, and the interaction between the two. Her current research is focused on paleofire regimes in northern Appalachia. Sara attended The Ohio State University where she recieved her Bachelor of Science in Earth Science with a certificate in climate change fundamentals. She is currently working with Dr. Richard Vachula. Sara is also a Graduate Student Team Member with the Auburn Geo Explorer, a mobile science lab bringing K-12 students hands-on science experiences all across Alabama. She is very passionate about science outreach and loves teaching science, especially to kids.
