Saidat Olaide Yusuff
Short Bio
Saidat Yusuff is a PhD candidate in Applied Mathematics at Auburn University. Her research interests include optimization, scientific computing, nonlinear systems and topological photonics. Her current research focuses on semidefinite programming approaches for the design of topological photonic crystals, finite element methods for Bloch eigenvalue problems and computational techniques for studying wave propagation and topological phenomena in photonic materials. She is also actively engaged in teaching, mentoring, professional service and STEM outreach.

Innovation
My research focuses on optimization, scientific computing, nonlinear systems and topological photonics. My current work develops semidefinite programming methods for the design of topological photonic crystals, along with computational techniques for studying wave propagation and topological phenomena in photonic materials. I am particularly interested in finite element methods, Bloch eigenvalue problems, Berry curvature analysis and mathematical optimization for emerging photonic and quantum technologies.
