Short Bio

Maede is a graduate student in the Department of Biological Sciences at Auburn University, working in Dr. Moss’s research group. Her research focuses on assessing the biodegradability of plastics and green composites using bacterial systems. She investigates the biodegradation of PLA-based composites and compares microbial degradation methods with standard composting approaches. She has experience in biology, genetics, biotechnology and polymer science.
