Short Bio

Dr. Merhawi GebreEgziabher GebreMichael is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geosciences at Auburn University. His research focuses on groundwater systems and how subsurface geology influences groundwater storage, flow, and sustainability. He uses hydrogeologic data and quantitative methods to study aquifer systems and support water-resource management. Before joining Auburn, he earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Washington State University and completed postdoctoral research at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
