Junshan Lin, PhD
Short Bio
Junshan Lin is the C. Harry Knowles Endowed Professor of Mathematics at Auburn University. He earned his PhD in Mathematics from Michigan State University in 2011. Following two years as a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications (IMA), he joined Auburn University as an Assistant Professor in 2013. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2018 and to Full Professor in 2023. His research interests are in applied and computational mathematics, with a focus on mathematical problems for wave propagation in novel materials, inverse wave scattering and imaging, and inverse and optimal design.
