Short Bio

Hi there! My name is Braeden Olson, and I am currently a PhD student in the Gibbs Lab. I originally from Muscle Shoals, AL and attended Auburn University for my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences. My research focuses on the ways in which heavy metals, typically used in pesticides and herbicides, can affect different cellular processes in soil microorgansims, particularly that of prokaryotic ribosomal efficiency. I am also lucky to be one of the GTAs for General and Clinical Microbiology, as well as Parasitology.
