Short Bio

Tony Williams is a PhD student in Earth System Science at Auburn University whose work spans meteorology, space weather, and geocognition, focusing on how people understand complex Earth system processes. Before entering academia, he spent a decade as a co-owner and operator of a small family automotive business, an experience that informs his interdisciplinary approach. His research uses interdisciplinary methods to enhance science literacy and make scientific knowledge more accessible across academia, public audiences, and industry. As a first-generation college graduate, he brings a perspective that shapes his commitment to bridging research, communication, and real-world application.
