Laboratory Science prepares students for laboratory-based careers in areas such as public health, bacteriology, environmental testing, industrial quality control, research, forensic science and non-diagnostic laboratory testing. Students can tailor the program through flexible junior- and senior-level coursework, including tracks in histotechnology, pre-medicine and pre-physician assistant preparation. Medical Laboratory Science provides a clinical laboratory pathway for students interested in diagnostic testing and may prepare graduates to pursue Medical Laboratory Scientist certification through an accredited clinical internship.
