Geography and environmental studies prepares students for a wide range of careers focused on the relationships between Earth, environment and society, including urban planning, environmental consulting, geospatial analysis and public policy. The interdisciplinary program emphasizes spatial thinking and analysis of Earth’s systems, with coursework covering physical and human geography as well as geospatial technologies. Students gain hands-on experience with tools such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing and drones, allowing them to visualize and interpret complex geographic data. Graduates are well prepared for careers in sustainability, climate research, disaster management and related fields, as well as for advanced study.
