Short Bio

Dr. Xiaoying Han is a Professor of Mathematics at Auburn University. She serves as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Academic Director of the Rural Medicine Program in the College of Sciences and Mathematics, and as Director of the Actuarial Program in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Dr. Han’s research focuses on deterministic and stochastic differential equations, lattice dynamical systems, and applications arising in the applied sciences, engineering, and biological systems. She is the author and coauthor of multiple research monographs and has published extensively in leading peer-reviewed journals. She also serves in senior editorial roles for several well known international mathematics journals. As an educator, Dr. Han teaches across a broad range of levels, including calculus, actuarial science, financial mathematics, and graduate-level real analysis and applied mathematics. Dr. Han holds the Associateship designation of the Society of Actuaries and has been continuously affiliated with the Society since 2012.
